Volunteer to help get cancer patients to treatment. For people with cancer who have no way of getting to treatment, our Road To Recovery® program is there to help. We need volunteers to help cancer patients get the treatment they need. Unfortunately, we don't always have enough drivers to help everyone who needs a ride. You can change that.
Our patient support programs increase access to care, and your support will help us make sure no one faces their cancer journey alone.
Volunteer your time at one of our fundraising events to help us celebrate life and take meaningful action in the fight against cancer.
With your volunteer support, we can raise funds and enact national policies to help end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Explore all of our volunteer opportunities and find one that best suits your skills and interests.
Awarding our remarkable volunteers is a thoughtful way to let them know them we appreciate the commitment they give to our organization. Our volunteer awards recognize outstanding groups and individuals who help improve the lives of people facing cancer.

Because of generous people like you, the American Cancer Society is able to fund research that could lead to the next big cancer breakthrough. But we do so much more than research. We help those with cancer by providing free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment, and a live 24/7 helpline for answers and support. We’re here to help patients get the treatment they need and make sure we’re there for their families when they need us most.
Donate to help fund patient support services, research, and cancer content updates.
